It comes with everything you need to make home assembly of the Wooden swing set easy, including step-by-step 3-D illustrated instructions. The Gorilla Wooden swing sets assemble in 50% less time than swingsets without pre-milled lumber. Each piece of wood is cut exactly to the specifications of our Wooden swing sets, saving you the time and the hassle of finding and purchasing lumber which would later have to be cut to size.
Pre-milled lumber also ensures that there is absolutely no room for error when it comes to assembling your new wooden swing set. Every cut and drill hole has already been made, so that all you have to do is put your new playset together.

A. No. Our wooden swing sets come standard as shown. They are designed with a child's safety foremost in mind and yet they still provide a challenging and fun recreational setting. Expansion of these swing sets would potentially compromise the strength and safety of the swing sets. However, that is not to say that you can not add new and different swing set accessories to upgrade the play value of the Gorilla wooden swing sets. Gorilla play sets offers a variety of swing set accessory add-ons for use on any wooden swing sets. Swingset accessories can add value to your equipment, making it more challenging for your child. We also offer educational accessories that encourage exploration, discovery and imagination. Such add-ons are easily installed by you.

Answer to the most common questions.
Q: Where are my torque washers?
A: The torque washers are located in the same box as your wave slide. They are not in the same box as the rest of the hardware.
Q: I still can’t find my torque washers. What do I do?
A: The torque washers can be replaced with 1/2” washers. See the question about the carriage bolts spinning to avoid any further problems.
Q: Why are the hex bolts sticking out about an inch after I tighten them?
A: You have the t-nut on the wrong side of the post. The t-nuts should be installed on the opposite side of the post that you are mounting your 2 X 4, 2 X 6, etc.
Q: What are these strange washers that don’t show up in my instructions?
A: These are torque washers. If they do not show up in your instructions, you have been given an outdated set of instructions. Get the latest copy here.
Q: There aren’t any pre-drilled holes in my corner posts for the other bolt. Is this a manufacturing error?
A: Our 2 X 6 material generally has two offset holes on each end that mount to the corner posts. One hole will line up with a pre-drilled pilot hole, while the other is fastened with a self-tapping lag screw. In the beginning stages of assembly, the lag screws will not be placed on the unit until after the main frame of the unit is assembled. (Usually within the first 7-8 steps, depending on your unit.)
Q: The carriage bolts are spinning when I try to install them. What do I do?
A: Hold the round head of the carriage bolt with locking pliers (vise grips) while tightening the lock nut. You will need to use an excessive amount of force on the head of the bolt to keep the pliers from slipping.
Q: My carriage bolts will not fit in the torque washer. Am I doing something wrong?
A: The torque washers were designed to have a tight fit. Place the torque washer/carriage bolt assembly in the location desired and use a hammer to set. If the torque washer still won’t set, try using a couple of different ones, as each one has a slightly different tolerance. If after several tries the bolt still won’t fit, substitute the torque washer for a 1/2” washer. See the question regarding spinning carriage bolts to avoid any further problems.
MAINTENANCE SUGGESTIONS
Check all nuts and bolts twice monthly during the usage season for tightness. Tighten as required. It is particularly important to check & tighten bolts at the beginning of each season. BR>
Check swings, chains, and slides for cracks or deterioration. Replacement should be made at first sign of deterioration.
Your play equipment should be inspected on a regular basis. If any of the following conditions are noted, they should be removed, corrected or repaired immediately to prevent injuries.
Hardware that is loose or worn, or that has protrusions or projections.
Scattered debris, litter, rocks, or tree roots within the play area.
Rust and chipped paint on metal components.
Splinters, structural wood imperfections, or decayed wood components.
Missing or damaged equipment and or components, such as hardware, handholds, panel slats, etc.
It is also important to stain and seal the wood components of your play system as needed. This will not only keep your play set looking nice, but it will also prolong the life of the system by limiting moisture and UV rays that the wood is naturally exposed to. It is recommended that you use a high quality stain/sealant. Any reputable paint store will be able to recommend a suitable product for your play system.
