Wildlife Creations Handcrafted Tire Swings are handcrafted from recycled car tires in the forms of animals, motorcycles, airplanes and other designs. These sculptured swings give the impression of being alive when sat on, due to the elasticity of the material. Both children and adults can have the greatest fun on these unique swings.
All hardware is covered to ensure smooth surfaces. Tires are cleaned so black will not rub off. Rope will hold 200 lbs. Swings are completely assembled and ready to hang.

A145 - Tire Swing - Commercial. This tire is for commercial use and is 30" in diameter with a 16" opening and is 10" deep. It is made of Polypropylene. This tire has built in eye bolts that will accept our H172 shackle. This is a great tire swing as no bugs or water can get in it and there is no rubber to wear off and stain the children’s clothes.
It weighs 19 lbs. and meets ASTM Standards that state tires must weigh less than 35 lbs. Tire is intended for use of no more than 3 children at a time and each less than 100 lbs. each.
**Installation, Safe Use and Maintenance Instructions**
IMPORTANT: Please read for important information. In this material we have tried to provide some requirements stated in the CPSC Handbooks, ASTM F2373-11, F1487-11 and F1148-09. However, we in no way intend for this to be a complete list of requirements. Also these publications are updated frequently with changes therefore, you should read these publications yourself to determine if any part or installation could prove a danger to a child.
To help keep children safe from harm, review installation and maintenance instructions before installing equipment. Plastic play equipment can become hot enough ‐‐ in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight ‐‐ to cause burns. Plastic tires are safe, tried and true, but as is the case with all playground equipment, parents and supervisors must monitor the children in their care, make certain that the equipment is appropriate for their age, and always check playground surfaces for excessive heat before allowing children to play.
Installation: Attach three large end S-hooks or H shackles to built in eye bolts, and attach three S-hooks or H shackles to tire chain. For H shackles make sure the wider side is attached to tire and the smaller end is attached to the last link of chain length. If coated chain, you may have to force S-hook or shackle through the chain. Close S-hooks so that the side of a dime cannot enter the opening. Make sure that both H shackles tamper proof bolts are closed properly. Make sure that fasteners are strong enough. We suggest at least 5/16” diameter fasteners. Attach other two chains in the same manner. Tire is intended for use by three children ages 2-12 not weighing over 100 lbs each. A tire swing shall not occupy a swing bay with any other swinging element.
Safe Use: This is for children 2 - 12 years old only. Adults should supervise children at all times. Do not allow children to stand on or use unsafely. Do not allow it to be used if damaged or wet.
Maintenance: At beginning and end of each play season and once a month during play season, check for sharp edges and/or cracks especially around eye bolts. Check for vandalism. Check for rusty or worn chain. See Tire Swivel for Maintenance on tire swivel. Replace parts if necessary. Check to make sure S-hooks and/or H-shackles are closed properly. Maintain detailed inspection and maintenance records for public-use playground equipment.
